Her eyes are blue because of cataracts. She's actually really healthy for her old age.. she's 57 years old, and the world's oldest dolphin in captivity.

Aw, as much as I know anthropomorphizing is bad, I can't help but think she's trying to say "HEY! Lookit me! I only just met you, and I LOVE YOU!" That, or "Feed me. Now."

My cat has a partial cataract in one eye, and it makes her eye all blue-y purple, too. And I've heard of horses' eye color changing after an acute injury to the head. I wonder why that is?
